棘が下に下がると、その下の植物は潰される。同時に結ばれた縄が下に引かれ、滑車を伝って縄は上に向かう力に変わる。縄の先には首がくくれる輪が用意され、ゴミ人間の首にかけられていた。ゴミの量 が増え、その重みで棘が下がるほど、ゴミ人間の首は締め上げられ、均衡を保っていた。しかし、今、全ての関係は崩壊し、植物は枯れ、造花だけが鮮やかな色彩 を保っていた。
